I'm Here for You
Life can get hard - I'm here to listen, share perspective, foster hope and walk alongside you. Reaching out and showing up for counselling support might seem daunting at first, but with a trusted and experienced ally in your corner, almost anything is possible. Let's embark on this journey together!
I am a registered social worker, a mum to two amazing kids, a partner, a sister and a daughter. I acknowledge we all wear many hats in our busy lives. I currently work at a busy Vancouver Coastal Health clinic, after many years at BC Women's Hospital and throughout the Downtown Eastside. I have over 15 years experience working primarily in women's mental health, substance use, harm reduction and anti-violence work (intimate partner, sexual, systemic and structural). My passions lie in being authentic, making meaningful connections with others, and sharing a laugh or two along the way. I believe in true collaboration and reciprocity - we learn from each other as we build the therapeutic relationship. It is truly a privilege to bear witness to someone's pain as well as rejoice in their successes.
When I'm not working, I enjoy walking while listening to podcasts, getting on my bike and practicing yoga. My family loves camping and exploring these beautiful territories in the summertime. We're thinking of adding a dog to our family sometime in the near future, too!
With a strong commitment to social justice, I come from a trauma and violence-informed place, utilizing skills from motivational interviewing and compassionate inquiry. Decolonizing my practice is of utmost importance and I commit to un-learning colonial worldviews.

Many extended health benefit plans cover counselling provided by Registered Social Workers (RSWs).
Check the details of your individual benefits plan with your HR department or extended health carrier to be sure. It’s also good to know what your maximum amount of coverage is per year.
Depending on your insurance, some clients pay me directly, while other clients' sessions can be billed directly to their health authority.
I gratefully acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded, stolen, traditional and ancestral homelands of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. I commit to my ongoing journey of reconciliation/reconciliACTION, by remaining curious, open-minded and open-hearted, making Indigenous cultural safety a priority in my practice. I will continue to practice humility and reflection with regards to my role in colonization as an uninvited guest.
